Message from the AASU Co-Presidents
For over three decades, the Asian American Student Union has served as an advocate for the Asian American community at UF. With the support of our sub-organizations, programs, and partners, we have helped bring tangible change to the community—from the creation of a new minor to the establishment of the Association of Asian Alumni. These milestones remind us not only of the great strides needed to advance our interests but also of the strength that comes from collective action.
We have always advocated for a more complete community experience for Asian Americans at UF—a true, inclusive second home for all UF students. Though Asian Americans have solidified a foothold in the broader UF environment, these uncertain times require stronger, more unified community support than ever to protect and grow the resources available to our community.
We invite everyone to join the Asian American community, to embrace our safe haven, and to experience every event as a continuation of an unyielding legacy intertwined with eternity.
-Daniel Xia and Serina Kaochari, AASU Co-Presidents
